- My wedding dress has arrived and is at Sandra's! I'll call them this weekend to see if I can get in to try it on while I'm in Easton over Thanksgiving.
- After a trip to Sandra's with Carol, my mom, Lisette, and Little Luca, we picked out bridesmaids dresses.

- Patrick got our website up and running, which is pretty exciting. Last night I edited his write-up about how we met and how we got engaged, so that's up on the site now. Stop by the site, read our stories, and don't forget to sign our guest book! The website is a work in progress - I imagine we'll be adding things to it as we get closer to W-day.
- I worked with Katy to get our Save the Dates designed, and then used Vistaprint to print up 100 postcards. We'll get our guest list nailed down while Pat and I are in Easton over Thanksgiving, and the cards will hopefully go out in the mail shortly after that. I'm very excited!
- We're meeting with our photographer over Thanksgiving weekend as well to get some more information from him, such as how many hours he thinks we'll need, and if we'll get a second photographer for that day. I'm looking forward to meeting him.
- As for my fantastic orange shoes, I finally bought some inserts, so they should fit me much better now. I'm still on the lookout for some comfortable (but cute!) dancin' shoes, so let me know if you see anything. I'm thinking flats or flip flops, and still hopefully in a bright color.
- You might notice that I've added a few things to the sidebar here on the blog -- a direct link to our website, links to our vendors (and "friend-ors" although Pat has forbidden me from using that term on our main website hahaha), as well as links to some of my friend's blogs. Katy and Matt's blog has a great account of their recent trip to Scotland, Lana has super cute pics of her girls, and Brooke has an awesome video of her husband, Jeff, taking a nap.
Let's see what else... In other, non-wedding-related news, Pat has decided on a research group with one of the most prestigious researchers in his field, Ted Belytschko, doing computational mechanics. Pat has a lot of hard work ahead of him for the next few years - this professor asks that his research group be in the office six days a week. Theoretically, by working his butt off for the short term (three to four years), he'll be back in the working world sooner. Other professors don't ask as much of their research team, but then their PhD students stay in school for five or six years. It's a trade-off, but it looks like it'll be for the best in the long run. Pat hasn't gotten started on research yet - his classes are keeping him plenty busy. I don't think I've ever seen Pat work this hard, but I get the feeling he's learning plenty and all in all is glad to be away from horrible ASI (his old job) and back at school.
On the moving-Claudia-to-Chicago front, I heard this week that we're expecting to get a big project started in the next few weeks. This project (based out of our Houston office) will keep me busy full-time for the next three to four months. The work for this project can be done anywhere (including the Chicago office), so it looks like I'll be able to move up there soon. My big hope is that I can move up there between Christmas and New Years, before Pat starts back with his classes. I am excited for us to be in the same city again!
That's about it from here... have a good weekend! :o)
